Many Thanks

I'm so very blessed and just wanted to say thank you to all those who touched my life with joy.

J- I was so beyond happy to have you spending the holiday with my family and I and on top of that you gave me such thoughtful (perfectly matching) gifts, that I'm so excited for!! You have no idea how special they are to me and I can't wait for us to go snowboarding together!!! You always impress me with how much care goes into everything you do for me and it makes me feel so loved!!!

Rays- Thanks so much so the great gifts!!!!! It was so thoughtful of you to think of us and what a pleasant surprise it was to unwrap gifts from you on Christmas morning! I love my snowman and the picture frame sits on my desk :)

Mum&Dad- Thanks for all your hard work in the home that made this season truly special. The food, company, and special treasures were all so wonderful. The ornament box is gorgeous! You are such wonderful parent for whom I am so grateful!

C'est la Vie

I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin',
Singin' in the rain

Seems to me no matter how great you are, how perfect your behavior, and responsible your actions bad luck happens. Bad things happen to good people and its just life. Rain drops fall on your head and there is just not a lot you can do about it. The one quite handy thing you can do is just decide to be happy about it. Just be pleasant. I find it's not only more comfortable for those around me but it's more enjoyable for me! There is just so much to find joy in, it's regrettable that we even find room for sorrow to creep in. I just know when I smile it makes my heart feel better, even if it's mostly a fake smile. Fake it til you make it!!!!

"Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me. "

Go Confidently

New Year, New Changes

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.

-I want to start living the life I've imagine. this means allowing myself to breathe. Less stress. More simple living. More dedication to the simple principals of a balanced life.

Cultivate the habit of early rising. It is unwise to keep the head long on a level with the feet.

- I have come to learn through many late night parties, all night cram sessions, and cookie dough eating chats with my roommates into the wee hours of the night that sleep is not crucial it's essential. Vital to my body, mind, and spirit. How can I expect to be productive, happy, and positive if I'm burning myself out with late nights and groggy mornings. It's just not effective.

Every man is the builder of a temple called his body.

- I haven't been treating my body like a temple and this must change. Everyone on the planet puts diet and exercise down on their new years resolution lists, so it's high time I get my rear into gear. Getting in shape is more than just feeling healthier and being more comfortable in my clothes, taking care of this beautiful body God has given me is how I can show him gratitude for the gift of a healthy body. My body is a temple not a 24/7 chocolate vacuum.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

- Lastly, but certainly not least my spiritual growth. I want to build a life of loving others and lightening their loads. I want my time spent doing good not just doing. This is a work in progress, but there is no better time than now to start doing better and doing more. I want to start being the woman I want to be.
