rexi

so last summer BYU-I hosted Jordan for the Business Conference. Since he was in meetings/speaking to students I got to play with friends! It felt a little bit like going back in time. Even though Jordan and I technically met in Rexburg we really had no mutual memories there and it was fun to be there together.. to go back to campus and walk around the little town. I expected everything to be exactly the same, but it wasn't and even though we had tons of fun Jordan had to remind me that sometimes you just have to appreciate the past and embrace the future.

{easier said then done}
 rigby lake
aw. yes that's a Rameriez hat, that Jordan bought on the trip and wears a little too often.
ok so there are only a few hotel options in rexburg, but there is a little gem called the AmericInn.
get it like American... but its an Inn. ba ha.

anyways, they have a floor of themed rooms so naturally I reserved one. Ours was rain forest. I cannot even describe it. There really are no words it was completely ridiculous and awesome and the same time.
the boys bonded
& I met baby coco
of course we did the buffet at cragio's, but I have to say New York pizza {pasty's really} has made me a little snooty when it comes to pizza.

It was so nice to be reunited with my girls in our old home.

love you xx oo

the cuteness factor

how much does your heart melt over baby animals?
I know right! I had to share these treasures.

I'd like to just say I have ALWAYS wanted to a baby elephant.

Granted they don't stay babies so that plan is out I just want it to be known. I mean clearly, look how cute they are.

one summer when I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Utah they took me to the county fair. There was a petting zoo and I found a little baby pig and held it for hours. I loved it. I begged my sister to take me back the next day so I could hold it again. I will honestly never forget that little guy

its a dance

...thank you for helping me find my balance...

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.
A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake...
A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life...

Let's get to the bottom of this... Where did you come from and where did you go?

I appreciate you missing me, but I only took out the garbage.
Sincerely, please stop jumping

Dear High School Musical,
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Dear girls who take pictures of themselves in the mirror,
You do realize that you can turn the camera around and see what is in the shot with the mirror right?
Sincerely, smart

Dear King,
If you wanted to put Humpty together again, maybe you shouldn't have given the horses the first go at it.
Sincerely, All the King's Men

timing is everything

last saturday Heather, Andrea, Dawn, Melissa, and I continued a marvelous tradtion.

The Morning Movie
{goes best with brunch}

there are a lot of good things about the morning movie.
1. its only $6
2. its the perfect thing to do on a wintery day
3. its never crowded
4. sometimes it just fun to come out of a movie and still have your whole day ahead of you

so anyways last week we saw country strong and it was...

UNBELIEVABLY GOOD.

I was enthralled the entire time. I had pre-ordered the CD and so I knew a few of the songs, but after the movie I just put the soundtrack on repeat all weekend. its real good music. i already loved leighton meeister and gwen, but garret hedlund blew my mind.

so to sum it up for you: try morning movies, see country strong, and get the soundtrack.

thanks for stopping by.

give said the little stream...

even though teaching the 3-4 years olds at church is hard for me sometimes there are a lot of good things about it.
one being that I have primary songs stuck in my head all day, which at first may sound like a bad thing but its actually sorta helpful.

it makes me smile to think of those little ones.

But with the new year brought a whole new batch on 3 year olds, 9 of them to be exact. I forgot how my they grow and change. 3 to 4 is a big jump.

wish me luck with the newbies...

the good news is they are just as cute.
