It took us a while to even narrow down the samples we wanted to try, but we finally narrowed it down to a really pretty sea green & golden sun colors.

very us.
very beachy.

Then we had to consult Carly of course for artistic vision.

Now things are going back up on the wall and its starting to look a lot like a home around here.

more photos to come.

mama & papa bear

for my mom's birthday/Christmas/all holiday's in 2010 that require gifts I got her and my dad a portrait session with the
I have to admit it was somewhat of a selfish gift because I really wanted some great pictures on my parents and I knew Amelia and team would get the job done. Of course Amelia & Justin did not disappoint.

when I looked at Amelia's blog last night and saw these beautiful shots I started to cry. Amelia always does a great job with scenery and lighting, but the way she perfectly captured my parents was breathe-taking.

thanks Amelia for sharing your awesome talents.

thanks mom and dad for being such AMAZING parents.

what an example of love.

I'm sorry, but I have to say it
How cute and awesome are my parents??!!

He's her lobster

found this little gem at amorology

I know, I know it's AMAZING.

there are so many awesome creative people out there.
The Amorolgy team is truly some of the best.
I probably wouldn't choose to have a lobster themed wedding for myself, but hey I can fully appreciate/respect/adore someone who does it this way.

plus shout out to phoebe from friends, for being ridiculous enough to say that lobsters mate for life.

never say never

It's offical, I'm taking a holiday in...

this June.
I NEVER thought I would miss Rexburg as much as I do and I never EVER thought I'd be so excited to be visiting. J was invited by the business department to speak at the Business Summit (a conference for the business students) and because I do miss Rexi so much I'm tagging along.

I must say the real reason I miss rexi so much is my friends though, I mean I have to give credit where credit is due, but regardless I can't say I'm not at least moderately excited to take part in a few Rexburg only traditions. I guess I'm excited because I know at the end of the weekend I'm going back to NYC and I won't have to decide between wingers/subway/hogi yogi every Saturday night.I can actually appreciate what tiny little rexi is. I'm just going to enjoy my sweet Rexburg and the things I love about it most!

Craigos l Swimming l Horkleys/DP l Rameriez l Beaver Creek l BYU-I l Bajio
what am I missing?
I guess what they say is true,
absence makes the heart grow fonder.

carpe diem

makes me want a hot dog real bad

I don't know if I should laugh or cry when I look at this.
On one hand that is the
the sweetest little pup I've ever seen... please don't even pretend to eat him.
on the other hand hot... dog... get it, ta ha

are you kidding me?

this is the dialogue between J and I the other day

j: I have to tell you something, and you might not like it.
k:ok what?
j: I'm going with my mom to see Regis and Kelly tomorrow, my mom asked if you wanted to go, but I just decided I'd go because I knew it was last minute for you with work
k: haha, fair enough... who's going to be on
j: (faces lights up) that hatcher girl from that show you like- he means terri hatcher
k: desperate housewives? ohh!!!!! I like her, I wanna go!!!
j: hehe, sorry.
k: what are you so excited about
j: she's super hott!

the case of why J volunteered to go see Regis and Kelly without even asking me if I wanted to go instead... SOLVED.

the next morning via text

k: how was the show?
j: ok... she could make it so the whole cast of satc showed up to promote the new movie
k: are you KIDDING ME
j: yes
k: omg, thank goodness, I was going to die
j: well kinda terri really couldn't come but only Kristen Davis filled in.
k: I'm mad at you.

cest la vie

yes I know I'm about a week late, but its the thought that counts. I couldn't let Mother's Day, completely go by without blogging about what a wonderful mother I have.

she truly is made up of so much wonderful. I'm pretty sure I'm becoming more and more like her everyday and I think this line is in a movie or something, but its true that she is the voice inside me head. Even when she's not around I know what she would say to me.

not really sure where I'd be without that.

thanks mama bear

and to my sweet mother-in-law I owe a big thank you too, not only for taking a big part in who Jordan is, but for welcoming me with open arms.

Ive been blessed with many motherly women in my life and I feel so grateful.

on that note I thought I'd leave these lyrics by martina mcbride

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
It puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

  makes me cry every time.

May Days

the thing about being the one who takes all the pictures is, you are never in any! regardless I am committed to document our life and times. april came and went and may is looking pretty good. I can't believe I'm about to be 23. I'm so married and graduated. I must say I'm feeling pretty good. Here's a few shots of our May happenings so far.
