Mother Knows Best

things that made me think my mom was totally crazy for making me do as a kid but now make so much sense:

- making my bed EVERYday

- cleaning my room before the night we leave on vacation

- not walking on the fresh vacuumed carpet because it made the vacuum marks go away

- not sitting on/tossing/or playing with the couch pillows

- brushing ALL sand of my feet before coming in the door

- not throwing clothes on the floor, even if I'm going to pick them up in a few minutes

- closing the curtains whenever I'm in the room

The Balliet's in NYC

As you can see, we took a little trip to Magnolia's, clearly...








It was so great to have the wonderful Balliet's in our neck of the woods. We had tasty pizza at Dean's (only because Patsy's was too crowed) and desert at Magnolia's. We discovered the red velvet cheesecake and I can safely say it changed all our lives. Hope they come back really soon!

calling someone your husband

having someone around who can reach high places and lift heavy stuff

deciding what to buy at the grocery store

picking shows to TiVo

getting mail with Mrs. on it

making something he really likes

still getting butterflies

having a home that's built of two lives

being responsible for someone other than yourself

tying the knot & tilting the camera: A&G

What a delight it was to share in Alli and Greg's special day! I'm so grateful i got that time with them! I was able to get Jon Moe to shoot a session sister and new brother-in-law in their favorite places around the city. I brought my camera along for the ride.

what I don't leave home without:

anti bacterial- the city is dirty
oil sheets- again dirty city
ludens- because they are good no other reason
metro card- a girl has got to be mobile
lip gloss- because you never know when you might see your favorite law&order character standing line next to you at jamba juice
band aids- safety first
ipod- there is nothing, I repeat NOTHING like walking the streets of the city with your favorite tunes playing, it's your own soundtrack
a good book- if you haven't read hunger games, that's my suggestion
the keys to the apt- don't leave those behind, bad choice
library card- no explanation needed
enough room for a box of magnolia cupcakes- again no explanation needed

I love New York in the fall. At first when the chill started moving in I let myself get in a bit of a bad mood but now I'm embracing it. I mean everything is what you make of right? Well I'm making daisies of it all...
