Memorial Weekend

(the team)
ok there was no snow and it wasn't up hill both ways, but it was 5 miles in.
(we didn't know what we were in for)
Some may say it's ridiculous to bring your iPod out into nature like this because the point is to be removed, but I say, I don't care what you think.
Music is how I connect with nature.

The Stream
The Enchanted Forest
Right before we got to the car we dropped our packs and stuck our feet in this little stream... much needed to say the least.
I don't really want to talk about that spider I saw, luckily this was one of only two scary bugs I saw on the trip and I consider that a success.
I feel 100% weird about showing my feet on the blog like this, but I'm doing it anyway in the name of accurate documentation of our trip.
Those were all taken with our spare point and shoot ,not so great, camera, but I thought I'd include them anyway. On to the other stuff...
aren't blow pops divine.
Jordan being awesome and manly carried and set up our tent (don't worry I carried our food/supplies and helped)
A shoot out to the "YGBGs" for letting us barrow their awesome gear. We wouldn't have been able to go without it.
our mini tent.
the combs putting together their humble abode for the night.
its getting dark now.
so we gathered wood and cooked dinner.
thanks to scotty's hatchet we had lots of wood.
thanks to J and I for thinking to freeze the hot dogs so they would stay good on the hike up we had a tasty dinner.
And in true davis style there was a condiment spill
theres Lyla.
trees were the theme here.
we had a blast even though J and I thought at many times we may collapse and live on that mountain forever.
thx bells/combs for making it such a good time.
